Use Mediation, Not Violence, to Solve Problems
Mediation is a proven tool for solving the inevitable conflicts that crop up in our community without having to resort to violence that always creates more problems than it solves; budget constraints forced Kansas City to suspend its Mediation Program last year, leaving the community with one less place to engage in the mediation process
Fortunately, the Community Mediation Center has received funding from United Way to help bring its program to more citizens. The CMC works with victims and offenders to provide a safe alternative to solving conflicts that benefits all parties and reduces the chance of reoffending.
